Thinness is already a big problem, but compared to intermittent, it is nothing at all. This is certainly not news: the sun does not always hang in the sky. The wind does not keep blowing. The only way to make solar and wind energy really work is to store them and use them when needed. Oil can be stored in oil tanks. Where are solar and wind energy stored? There is no such mass storage system. This is why, in the world, there is no truly independent and independent operation of solar or wind power plants. Each one requires a backup plan.
